The centre is dedicated to producing high quality falcons for falconers in the region, we have spent many years selecting the best stock from all over the world. To prevent inbreeding we are very careful about the genetics of the falcons we breed. We focus on breeding the following species.
We produce white, black and grey Gyr Falcons. We have selected our breeding stock mostly from the USA since we believe many in Europe are not pure, having been crossed with Sakers in many cases and then crossed back with Gyrs. We are able to trace the bloodlines of most of our stock back to the wild and are very careful in selecting unrelated birds for breeding. We have one of the largest collections of gyr falcons in the world. Each year we retain a small number of birds for future breeding stock and imprint males for use in producing Gyr Falcon x Peregrine Falcon hybrids
Our Peregrines are mostly from the United Kingdom and have been selected from known parents for their size and hunting ability. We use imprint female peregrines.
We produce a limited number of this small falcon to maintain our own breeding population. Each year we imprint a number of these to allow us to produce Gyr Falcon x Red Napped Shaheen Hybrids
